WOMEN & SOCIAL PROTECTION (Tanzania) – This is an NGO that provides educational interventions for young girls and women against the negative cultural norms that oppress them in the effort to advance these girls & women economically, socially, and politically. Their interventions include a Back-to-School programme, A Vocational School, and A Safe-Haven (hostel) for Girls.
RAIDERS RUGBY CLUB (South Africa) – The Raiders Rugby Club is one of a handful of real, non-racial premier league clubs in South Africa. The club is run by 4 brothers, all ex-Rugby players, who have taken hundreds of children off the streets of Soweto and given them structure, sport, and support. The club runs its own development programmes for 13 primary and 9 high schools in the greater Soweto area. They are funded solely by donations and grants.
